Need Some More Geek HTML Help

I want some bolded text on my wife's site. The text does not display properly in FF when I use the tag. It displays bolded in Dreamweaver, IE and Chrome. FF is apparently ignoring the tag. It does work after I created a style in the style sheet and do it that way. I'm lazy so would rather just click bold in Dreamweaver and not play games with the style sheet and span tags. If text already has a style applied, when I highlight text and apply a new style, Dreamweaver puts the new tags at the end of the paragraph and I have to manually edit the source. This is striaghtforward but annoying. Am I SOL? Is the correct way to do this just whatever works?

    Bah. So much for 'standards'.

I figured it out. Firefox won't parse or the like inside a tag. If you move the tag outside the tags then it works properly. The workaround is to create a new style in the .css file and just use span.

So you're saying you just geeked yourself, right.

(I'm gonna have to make a note of your fix for future ref.)

Right. Apparently FF 3.01 doesn't play well with the and tags for whatever reason.
