    Fantastic Contraption

This is one of the most addictive things I've played with in a long time. Be sure to register so you can save your contraptions. After you finish a level, take a look at the ones other people have saved. The engineering is unbelievable in some of the designs. The possibilities are endless.

When I quit at 5:00 am I was up to level 14.

I really was not looking for another computer addiction, so thanks alot.

              But it really is fun

I've gotten through all except Back and Forth. I haven't really tried to do that one yet. I spent a few minutes on it and then decided that I should get some sleep.

Unlike most puzzle games, finishing a level does not make redoing that level boring. It's fun to make complex machines for simple tasks. It's also fun to find the least complex solution to a problem.

I guess I missed this when it was posted several months ago. A co-worker told me about Fantastic Contraption a few days ago and was going to post about it here - I did a search and apparently I'm way behind the curve. Anyway, it's ingenious and very addictive.

Check out the YouTube videos of some very clever designs.
