I'm really glad we replace one vehicle every 8 years. Any more often and I think I'd be without hair.
I found a gently used Tacoma that was perfect in almost every respect and I was ready to buy last week, but first LOML had to test drive it so we'd be sure she could do so comfortably. Of course, she was off somewhere and out of touch. When we got to the dealer yesterday, the truck was GONE. Apparently sold on Saturday.
I've found another suitable Tacoma, though not as good a deal, but once again, LOML is running off. I've asked her to find a Toyota dealer and do a test drive while she's away. I'm crossing my fingers that this other vehicle I've selected doesn't get away too. But at least the salesman seems competent. From Brooklyn, about two years younger than I am, and probably born in the same hospital.
Maybe if I wasn't so darn cheap when it comes to cars...
