    Thank you so much, Ed.

Carole & I had two cats and it seems we did all the right things.

    Wow - bitter/sweet memories.

You're welcome, Rod. Almost 2 years ago, the time was right for us to put one of our dogs down. Carole went in with him, and held his head while the vet administered the shot. She didn't want me in the office with them, so I waited in the car. It's a hard thing to do. But it was exceptionally quick, which made it slightly easier.

A very well written piece, Ed. Been down that road many times before. Doesn't get any easier, but always just as important.

Nice piece, Ed. A good reminder for all of us. I, for one, believe that our pets will be with us on the other side of this life and, I can't wait!
            Blessings,
            Chiz

Having just returned from walking my dog, and bringing my dogie bag back to my garbage can. I had to wash my shoes because of another owner who just couldn't be bothered picking up after their dog. I would like to add to your commandments.

              11. My pet will not bother the neighbors. I will pick up after it all the times I walk it. I will not leave my dog outside barking and bothering the neighborhood

              12. I will bell my cat so it does not feast on the Hummingbirds

              13. I will remember that some people do not like or are allergic to dogs and cats and will not foist my pet on them.

Bill, that's my opinion and I'll stick to it until I change my mind.
