    International WW Fair Attendee's...

Anyone from the site that might be attending IWF Wednesday through Saturday? I will be working the Steel City Toolworks booth #6429 during the show so... please drop in.... ask for Sarge and introduce yourself as from BT3 Central. I will be having dinner with a group that includes Brian Gumpper from Holbren's on Thursday evening.

Feel free to drop by... there might be a few new things you have never seen nor heard about as new things get "un-veiled" at IWF. I have seen quite a few last week while setting up for the Show but it is courtesy to all manufacturers to ..... I No See... I No Hear.... I No Tell...

Keep your eyes and ears open this week as I can assure you there are new innovations that will be revealed.

BTW... all the Steel City machines in the booth will be offered at a 10% discount for the locals with access to a pick-up truck or trailer. You would have to pick them up on Saturday evening but I can tell you that with the price of Conex containers and cast iron almost doubling over the last 8 month... don't be surprised to see Manufacturer's prices forced up in the near future. Just my opinion based on a conversation with someoine that would know about the large increases that the manufacturers have been subjected too.

I intended too... Bill. But... I found out today that camera's are not allowed in the Show. I suppose you have to have a press pass to have one for pictures and that taking them has to be approved by IWF?

I will find out more tomorrow at Dealer Day before the Show opens on Wednesday.. but it doesn't look good at this time. I can tell you that I have seen some new goodies across the floor but I No See.. I No Hear.. I No Tell is the oath you have to take before the Show opens.

So... I might post some of them early but pictures are Forboden...

Is there a press site on the web that will have the announcements from the show? Curious minds want to know.

Or just a hint to go to certain tool manufacturer's site post announcement would be good.

            Thanks

Well that's a bummer, but I am sure that we in the hinterlands will be able to vicariously attend the show through your descriptions of the highlights.

I ask Scott Box (President of Steel City) today and he said he paid for the booth so I can do any d*** thing he says I can do.

So... I will probably get some pics there to post latter in the week. Some of the vendors won't allow and are keeping things under close wraps. The new Uni-saw Delta is taunting has been covered with a tarp. But... they made the mistake in front of an old Recon man to all go to lunch together today.

Being that tarps lift off easily I have seen the New Uni-saw. It was pretty much what I expected them to change. I did get a glimpse under the hood and and that is all I will say at this point. I meet and got to work with Tom Byrd from Byrd Cutter-heads today. Interesting fellow indeed.

Also got to meet a few WW magazine fella's also.. Poplar WW is dropping by Friday to do a photo shoot I believe. So.. a very interesting day as all are fine tuning and a few vendors are just flat behind. Laguna and Mini Max will be there until Mid-nite at least setting up as they waited until the last moment.

Several surpirses from Steel City so stay tuned....

                    Regards...

                    Sarge..

Fun this week, Omar... but last week when 4 of us un-loaded a tractor trailer with 24 machines.. un-crated and assembled.. it wasn't very much fun at all. I gained a lot of respect for the WW guys who do this at the Shows as I never gave any thought to how much real work goes on behind the scenes.

The public will walk in the door tomorrow to around a million square feet of WW diplays..not one inch of floor not covered in carpet.. AC turned on and very comfortable. They won't realize that last week there is no air conditing and you labor around 10-12 hours a day standing on concrete.

I was exhausted by by the time I left each day as we started on Wednesday and finished on Friday. Yesterday and today was just final tune and clean up. I don't think I stood more than twice over the week-end to re-cuperate from the fatique.

So.. we have fun for 4 days and Saturday around 4 PM we tear down in 6 hours what took 4 days to ready. All machines will be hopefully sold for 10% off list on the floor so they don't have to be dis-assembled and returned to HQ in Murfreesboro Tn. Anything left will though...
