As of last Thursday, my big plans were to mow the lawn and do the washer drain. Well....
Friday PM - Wife calls because of troubles with the washer drain. I get home and we drag stuff and furniture around so we can clean up. I rented a carpet cleaner to get as much water out of the carpet as I could.
Sat AM - carpet not really drying so I pulled the baseboard and pulled the carpet back then got air in between the pad and carpet. Set up some box fans to blow air under and got the dehumidifier going. Returned the cleaner, got the parts to rework the washer drain. Went to mow the lawn. Halfway through edging, string trimmer jams. Halfway through mowing, wire in tire and flat. About then my sister calls, she needs a road rescue. I got home and did the washer drain. Almost done, one more connection and I realize my 17mo old was 'helping' and put one of the elbows back on the shelf when I was buying parts.
Sun AM - Carpet and pad are both dry, no funny smells. Went and got a carpet stretcher. My wife chooses then to remind me I am helping her at her studio that weekend. This involves putting down 100sqft of rubber tiles. Not a big deal except for cutting around the lockers, all the changing rooms, etc. Started work on that, broke for lunch and naps. Fixed the mower and trimmer and finished the lawn. Went back and finished the floor and finally got to the carpet after the kiddies went to bed.
