I read this morning that the wrestler who refused his bronze medal and dropped it on the mat had his third-place win rescinded, and had to leave the Games. What a sourpuss!

OTOH, Dara Torres has been a breath of fresh air. What a wonderfully unpretentious, delightful athlete! A couple of days ago I watched her ask the race officials to hold the start for a moment because one of her opponents had her suit rip and had to go change.

Women's beach volleyball is just plain fun to watch, too.

You are right... Dara Torres is the epitome of class and sports(wo)manship. The "kids" would do well to take a page out of her book.
