Audio books

I'm an audio book fan . . . but only use them when on trips or commutes. I find them particularly appropriate when the locale is foreign to me, and where the speakers' accents add greatly to the flavor of the book. I listened to one of the Harry Potter books on tape, all characters voiced by the stellar Stephen Fry, and it was superb. Another good one was "Reading Lolita in Teheran".

I really enjoy audio books on long drives, especially at night when there is nothing to look at anyway. I've found some of the audio books have stuck with me in my mind longer than the written ones. I've never listened to one while in my home or office, however.
