    15 innings ?!?!

Nearly 5hrs and 15 innings. That has to be an All Star record.

Last thing I remember was the 7th inning stretch.

I made it to the end of the 12th and decided that I would be hurting at work today if I stayed up any longer. I'm glad I quit when I did. I would have been a zombie after three more innings.

Did anybody listen to ESPN's international broadcast of it? If so, how did Rick hold up?

Watched it on Fox all the way... 15 innings ties the record, and 4 hrs., 50 minutes breaks the record by an hour... Very entertaining, I must say.

What time did it end? I think it was 12:50 EDT when I turned it off.

I was beginning to hope it went on even longer. Was hoping to see the position players take the pitchers mound, since they were out of pitchers.

Seriously though, there were some awesome defensive plays that kept the game going. And if the throw from rt field to end the game had been 3 ft to the left they might still be playing.

btw, loved seeing all the old timers I grew up watching and a great way to end Yankee stadium, fan or not (Red Sox fans excused)

Poor Uggla. It will be tough for him to feel good about being an all-star when he gounded into a double play to kill a rally and then booted two balls in a row. He almost had a third error in the same inning, but he was able to recover and throw the runner out.

I stayed up for the first 9 innings, then went to bed because I had to get up early this morning. Boy, am I glad I didn't watch the whole game!

Dan Uggla is a gifted player. I think he just went a bit mental. I hope it doesn't affect his psyche for long. It's weird how that happens, like catchers who suddenly can't throw back to the pitcher, even though they can throw everyplace else...

Or former pitchers like Rick Ankiel, who can't find home from the pitcher's mound with a road map and guide, but has thrown out several runners at home from center field.

I remember watching Mackie Sasser having to pump seven or eight times to throw the ball.

Don't get me started on the silliness of having the All-Star Game decide home field advantage for the Series. The ASG is supposed to be an exhibition game. These guys haven't played together, been managed by the AS manager, etc, etc, etc. (Oops, I guess I did get started...)

Watched the whole game, but then I didn't have to get up in the morning.

Agree 100%. All because of one silly tie in 2002. IMHO Selig made the right choice in ending the game, given that they had run out of pitchers. The fix to me would be to add extra pitchers. Or maybe have pitchers go minimum of 3 innings.
