My mother, 72 years young 
recently was taken to the hospital via ambulance due to what we initially thought was a stroke. She went into convulsions and became unresponsive. After running some tests it was determined she didn't have a stroke but had an extremely low blood count due to internal bleeding. They've since given her a transfusion and did an endoscopy to make sure the tear which caused had healed itself (which thank God it had). Her blood cell count was increasing but the last one dropped slightly from the one before it. My family is a very religious one and believe highly in the power of prayer. If you have the time please send out a prayer for her. Thank you.

What usually is the cause of anemia? Take into account, her age, doesn't smoke, drink, has hadn't had any falls. Thanks in advance for your expertise.
