    Bad air day

The Temp now at 5;17 PM PDT is 108F, no big deal it is not that uncommon in California's Central Valley in the summer. But 3/4 mile visibility in Smoke, that is a killer. The shop even though it has AC is off limits due to the smoke just walking out there. Historicaly this is normal. It is only in the last 40-50 year that they tried to prevent wildfires or even fought them. In the early days this valley could be full of smoke from June till December depending on the weather. Same for the LA Basin.

I don't think the smoke is quite so bad here near the Bay. The good news is that it's 6 degrees cooler today than it was yesterday.

Were waiting for the ole sea breeze to kick in. When the wind in Fairfield is at 22mph or above the Valley will star cooling off. I have see the temp. change 30F in 3 or 4 hours. When I was racing we would get to the track at 5pm and 105F by the time the main event started at 10pm it could be 75 or less with the wind blowing. at 25mph.
