Was watching that video when the oldest son came in and he was saying how cool it was.

When the video was over he looks at me and says, (very seriously) "Mom can I build a roller coaster in our yard?"

I really need to make sure that the kids aren't around when I watch something like that.

Oh and of course I told him "ABSOLUTELY NOT!", Like any good mother would do.

BTW that was pretty cool.

No offense to our backyard engineer but there is NO way that I would put my kids or g.kids on that experiment. There are too many potential points of failure with hundreds of un-x-rayed welds and threaded connections. Neat but "Yikes" !!

you said it, that family is really brave! it is cool indeed, but really unsafe.

he didnt even know if he would make it through the loop and he is testing it out himself? then his kids and grand kids. there is no way for him to know that after having gone through the ride himself, if the welds are starting to over stress....

I'd totally so that, if I've been welding for 20 years, or had an x-ray to check my work.

I mean, How many of us have jumped off a garage? That isn't much more dangerous.

I guess you can do crazy stuff like that out in the country. I'd probably get locked up if I tried it here.
