An excellent book by Cathy Crimmins (an author I'd never heard of). I read this while on vacation. I don't normally read non-fiction, but my aunt lent it to me. It is the story of how her husband suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a boating accident, the aftermath and the recovery. I was worried it would be a rant against the HMOs or a lot of statistics on TBIs and why everyone should wear a helmet - not that it would help when your boat gets run over by a bigger speedboat. With good reason she does rant against her HMO, but not nearly as much as she could have. She doe quote a few stats on brain injuries and who gets them) but the book is about her husband's injury and recovery.
I highly recommend it.
