I've finally got round to putting up a page on our brief vacation in the West Country, including the Eden Project, Heligan, Boscastle and Mevagissey. It's here if you get the time.

    Ray.

Very, very pretty there. Amazing to see and most likely, really spectacular in person. Thank you for sharing something I will never get to experience myself.
One question though,, the picture of the harbor with the fishing boats. Are they just moored (or mired) in the mud? Do they have to push them out to the water or is there a fluctuation as in high/low tides?
Thanks again for taking me on vacation with you.

The boats are moored to the wall and anchored off their sterns as well. The harbour is tidal and they all float when the tide is in. This is quite common in the UK.

Thanks for sharing, Ray. The Eden project is beautiful. I'll have to share those photos with LOML, who is an avid gardner (she's out there now, outworking me while I surf!).

Wow, Ray! Those pics are something LOML will not be allowed to see. She's a gardener, and she's been trying for years to get me to take her to England to see the gardens. Unfortunately, I won't fly. Thanks for sharing.

Do you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

              Hey Ed,
There are boats that go over the pond, you'd love the trip.

Very beautiful scenes, Ray. I am somewhat envious as I have been tied to the shop for about a year. But... hope to get out for some much needed scenery this fall in our Blue Ridge Mountains which is part of the Applachian Chain.

                Regards...

Very nice Ray, its been a long time since I was there. I have always liked the west country and its one of the things we do miss about the UK since we moved over here.

We are heading over to the UK soon but will mainly be staying around London, no time for a trip down to Devon and Cornwall.

Thanks Ray, I've spent many a happy day rambling thru Cornwall and Devon in the years when I lived in Chelteham. It used to be an annual holiday spot for us.

Really beautifully photography of amazing scenery. I will share with the LOML on the condition I don’t have to build a biome in the back yard.

Unfortunately for me all of my trips to England had me locked in meeting rooms in London. One meeting room looks like another.
