No, this is not a joke. Last night before the Sox/Indians game, Nick Swisher made sure this boy and his family from Kentucky made it to the game. The boy lost a leg to cancer when he was 1 year old. He is now playing baseball!! Nick has a charity for kids (Swish's Wishes), and when he heard about this one, he hung his picture in his locker. What an inspiration! One reason I've lost all interest in professional sports is that most of the players and all of the management think only about themselves. Fans shell out a lot of money to see these guys yet they behave like children (though I suppose they really are just playing a game). I'd be much more inclined to tune back in if players ditched the drugs and acted like real men the way Swisher obviously is.
