I guess I now have a signature for things I make

Putting on the last coat of varnish for the conference table I've been making for LOML I noticed a small flaw. One solitary cat hair buried in the finish. Seems everything I make has that one hair, well, actually a different one in each in the finish. I guess the grandkids will one day say "that right there proves that grandpa made this".

It isn't conspicuous unless you know where it is as the hair is from a yellow tom. I'm so over sanding this top that it stays as the top looks great. The padauk under the finish almost looks iridescent from an angle.

A hundred years from now, legions of antique appraisers will be ardently searching for that one telltale cat hair...

It deposits it on my shirt in such a manner that it floats free once I start finishing. It is a very smart cat.

Here's my mark of ownership. I did it all my way with a slip of the router.
