    Computer Problem

LOML was having trouble with her computer. She called Jeff the 11 year old from next door, whose bedroom looks like a NASA control room. Jeff came over clicked on a couple of button and solved the problem.

As he was leaving, LOML called after him, " So, what was wrong? He prelied "it was an ID ten T error

Not wanting to appear stupid, she none-the-less- inquired "an ID ten T error? What's that ? In case I need to fix it again.

Jeff grinned..."Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?

She repied no Jeff said write it down and I think you will figure it out.

So she wrote down I D I 0 T Now she hates the little ****

In my pre-teaching life I dealt with ID ten T errors every day. Had quite a few PEBCAK* issues, too.

I have been a victim of users exhibiting both of the above symptoms. Drives one nuts.

In the heavy equipment industry we refer to a "loose nut between the steering wheel and the operator's seat."
