    Bliss

LOML, the best chef ever, outdid herself this evening. One of the guys at the local reservation caught more crab than his family could eat, so his wife cooked them up and was selling them at the smokeshop. Theresa bought one, shelled the crab, picked it and produced a magnificent meal. Crab stuffed with cream cheese and feta into roasted Anaheim pepper, chili releno style fried in an egg batter accompanied by refried beans with diced tomato and cilantro sauce topped with sour cream. A small tomato and lettuce salad on the side.

I have died and gone to heaven.
    regards,
    Charlie

I know that feeling! Usually LOML does the wonderful job on cajun food - shrimp, crab, catfish, redfish and crawfish. I was taught some cajun cooking when I lived in the area. Sunday, for father's day, I wanted my own shrimp Po-Boy. I got a large french bread loaf, cooked large shrimp just full of cajun spices along with fresh garlic (and I didn't hold back on the spices either).

LOML and I enjoyed one of the best we have ever eaten. She said it was like the local neighborhood po-boys in NO. (Her favorite was Rocky's in Chalmette, which I don't think is there anymore.)

As we started to eat, our middle daughter called on Skype and we were "entertained" for about half an hour while eating. MUCH better than eating out!

Now Charlie, that's just downright mean of you. Why did you have to mention all that stuff on here. I call that a food gloat. Brag brag brag.
Now I have to go spend money for dinner out at Sheepshead Bay Mariner tonight.
          It's a conspiracy a tell ya.

No. But I do have an unwed 29 yr old daughter trained by the chef. Unfortunately it appears she is not talking to us this month.

That "not talking" business could be considered an asset by many of us.
