    Garage Sale Gloat

Last Saturday I stumbled onto a sale close to my neighborhood. A fellow was blowing out some hardware and tools from a hardware store he owned years ago.

I bought a small sump pump, a new 1 HP motor, a couple small boxes of hardware and plumbing fittings, and some Forstner bits.

I spent $40 for the lot.

Oh, also included was a Freud 8" dado set and this...

(It didn't include the RAS or the power feed, but I still think it was a deal!)

The Performax sander attachment was the first Performax product they put out. I'm going try and use the parts for a dedicated thickness sander.
You might think I haven't contributed much to the world, but a large number
of the warning labels on tools can be traced back to things I've done...

That sander is an unexpected find at a garage sale. What an eye opener stumbling on that one. Does it work OK?

I was going to say that "YOU SUCK" didn't start to cover this but, after closer reading, I realized that what you got was the drum head for the sander. Worth a shot for parts to make a sander.

Throw in some misc bits, hardware, pump, new motor, a Freud dado set and ...

          YOU SUCK!

What Pappy said! How come I can never find those deals?
