    Why is this?

Ever notice that the post count is higher on work/week days than on the weekends? Of course that is because everyone is too busy in the shop to post on the weekends. Certainly not an indication that a lot of members are surfing the web and posting when they're supposed to be working!

Hmmm, maybe we are just too tired after work to do anything except post things on web sites?! How's that for rationalizing...?

That's quite an observation, Don. I never noticed it. But I never know if it's a workday or not.

Well it seems pretty obvious: during the the weekday, most of us with office jobs pop in here to see what is going on. On the weekends and evenings we're busy making stuff or else running around doing errands.
But it's not just here: I have long-term server logs on WMC that shows visits drop 50% over the weekend, and if I break it out into time zones + geoposition, it pretty much tracks 9-5. Sam could crunch the BT3C server logs and probably get similar data (and better, too, since he has a larger sample set).

Well Pappy... yep, as it sticks out like a sore thumb. I just finished another project that I could post pictures of today.. but I'll wait and do it in the morning. If I did it today, it would be on page 3 by tomorrow.

But.. I scan 3 different forums and this is not just isolated to BT3. When I was working why couldn't I have one of those kinds of jobs? I suppose I just chose the wrong line of work.

Because at work the spouse isn't around gobbling up your "free time."

Access to nice color laser printers, high-speed connections, etc. helps too...

Not everybodies weekend, falls on an offical weekend. Nor do we all get days off in a row.

I was looking forward to actually having off three days in a row (July 3-5th), but the place I wanted to go (Grizzly tools) is closed on the fourth. Now I am finding out we have multiple people off, and I may lose at least one of those days.

There goes my first vacation in around 25 years.

There is a perfectly good explanation of this.

During the week the wives/husbands aren't around to tell you to get off the computer and get your "chores" done. And on the weekends when they are home they have the "to do" lists that spouses hand them at 5 on friday night just to be cruel.

                  What she said.

I spend minimum an hr a day on conference calls at work. The ones I actually have to contribute to only take a few minutes of my time per call. I need something relatively mindless to occupy the rest of it.
