So, the wife and I were out and about today and she mentioned Sears Harware in passing (this is after a rather lame Harbor Freight sidewalk sale). I told her that I saw that they had a remote control truck that works with my C-Man C3 system batteries, and as usual, she says I should get it.
Lemme tell you, this IS the coolest accessory for the system. It's 1/10th scale I believe and this little truck scoots! It says it goes 18 M.P.H. Now, I'm almost 43 years old and I tell ya, I felt lilke a little kid out there playing in the street zoomin up and down the road. I have 4 batteries for my tools and I could go non-stop all day with this thing. It's built pretty rugged, it has trim knobs for the throttle and steering and it comes with 2 crystals if you want to race your buddy (I'ma gonna get me another one!).
I love my C3 tool set, and this little truck just made it that much sweeter!
C3 Truck
Oh yeah, and a little stealth gloat. I picked up this C-Man planer a couple weeks ago. Scratch-n-Dent model for $175, works flawlessly. I built a little stand for it and proceeded to plane my workbench top (basically 2 12" wide, 6' long, 3" thick slabs taken down to 2 1/2"). Never hesitated, bogged down or complained. Although I got a wee bit of snipe due to my in/outfeed tables not being set properly. It's missing the dust collector bag, but I wouldn't have used it anyway.
