    Tool gloat

Look what I found at an Estate sale. There were a bunch of guys looking at tools and I got there pretty late so I was pretty suprised no one had snatched it up. I'm guessing they may not just know the brand. I don't know much about the model excpet Normy uses the brand and it costs 3 times more than other joiners. I know it's not the current model.

There were TONS of tools there. Alot of woodworking. I got there pretty late and the guy running the sale said there was even more stuff when they opened. Most were over or fairly priced but there some deals to be had. Tons of hand tools. Chisels, planes, gouges, etc. Whole sets too not just individuals. Wish I knew more about them to know what they were worth.

Very nice. It would have been a deal at twice the price.

Is this a good spot for a "YOU SUCK!" comment?

Nice catch. I looked at a Lamello, but couldn't jusify the bucks.

That's an amazing score - Lamello Top 10 used to list for $700, and at around $550 at the lower end of discounts. Their newer 'Top 20' is around $800, while their Classic C3 is their cheapest at around $450 .

All that money for their reputed accuracy. So I guess you can use it and tell us all about it...

I tried out a few test cuts and noticed it has less vibration. Haven't really had a chance to put it through it's paces or make anything yet and since I'll be having a busy week at work I probably won't be able to till next weekend.

$75 would have been a good deal on a PC. On a Lamello, it's grand theft!
