Managed to pick up some freshly cut Osage Orange off of Craig's List today for a whopping $10 (probably spent that much in gas getting there and back). Need some more drying out if I want to plank'em, but otherwise I figure some woodturning material. Each four foot long, 2" thick stuff.

Pretty nice stuff there, and at 8/4 thickness, you've got a lot of options besides pens. Nice score.

With the 2" stuff I figure cut off a square and do a bowl or three. But for right now, we're thinking of using them to make 14" long (!!!) drawer pulls for a cabinet. We'll see.
