    Battery Charger Question

My wife got one of those Hot Wheels ride on toys for free. No charger for the battery, battery is a 6V. I have a car battery charger that is 6/12V switchable. We have another hot wheels and that charger is a 12V that pushes 2.5A Can I use my car charger @6V to charge this dinky battery or will it push too many Amps?

The battery is a lead-acid battery.

Crokett, I know gas prices are bad, but putting your wife on one of those is CRAZY!

I know gas is getting expensive, but I don't think this is the right choice for your wife. She's not going to get far on a charge, and I've heard the legroom in those really sucks. If you want to go electric, I'd recommend a hybrid like the Prius.

It will work fine with the charger set to 6V.
