    Kids

I have a great grandson, who was 3 years old at the time. One day he was watching cartoons in my bedroom, which turns into my box seats when the game is on. He watched cartoons for a while, and I told him when the game came on, his cartoons would end. Well, it was time for the pre-game show. I told him that his cartoons would have to wait until another day. He wasn't happy about it. He went into the other room, where my wife was talking with his mother. He said "I'm mad at Ed. He won't let me watch cartoons". He's been calling me "Ed" ever since. Doesn't bother me a bit.

Do you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

Kids can say the darnedest things, hummm

That brought a smile to my face Ed62! Kids are special, and it looks like you have one there. It amazes me at just how smart they really are at times. I kind of think you two are real close and happy!!

When my nephew, Chris, was about 4, he was helping his dad with some yard work. Something happened that made Dad get mad and Chris said "Don't worry about it, Jim".

"Don't worry about it, Jim" has worked it's way into our whole extended families' lexicon. (Works especially well when making a woodworking mistake!)
You might think I haven't contributed much to the world, but a large number
of the warning labels on tools can be traced back to things I've done...

My 3.5 year old son calls me Alex sometimes. When he's around other neighborhood kids he often calls me what they do - Mr. Franke. It's kind of strange, isn't it? But it is my name, so I respond.

Yeah -- kids are great that way. It's fun to think of how their minds work. Thanks for sharing!
