    How do you spell caul/cawl/call?

I'm taking about a board you might use to provide even clamping pressure accross a surface... I searched it the way I thought it was spelled and saw something I really didn't want to see at all, then looked it up only to find a medical definition.

Thanks! I just found it also at http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/caul -- definition #2. Looks like this is a more complete dictionary that m-w.com!

        I've always spelled it: caul

But, there are words that are accepted with different spellings, like moulding/molding.

My dictionary of Architecture and Construction says moulding is a British variant of the other. I've always spelled it with the U.

I spell it caul. I won't ask how you spelled it Alex.

I use the British spelling for mitre and moulding. 'Molding' to me means something bad.

Yeah, that's actually how I spelled it, too. It's the correct spelling, but it's apparently much more often used as a medical term... Thus the sanity check here at BT3Central.

              Thanks guys!

At least in the medical community.
