    A new trophy animal competition

A local guy started a new website:

    http://www.roadkillrecordbookclub.com/gallery.html

Pretty funny stuff. I think he should get his link fixed re' Wearable Merchandise if he actually wants to make any money at it...

YEARS ago, (I wish I could still find them) a magnetic car kill kit was sold with dead animals, pedestrians, and cars, you stuck on your doors/fenders, like the fighters of WWII.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Well shoot. In 44 years of driving I've never hit anything living (if you don't count bugs). Better go driving those country Texas roads more often!

A few years ago my BIL hit a deer WITH MY CAR causing $3500 damage. I wish I could have had him stuffed and mounted. The BIL, that is. The deer I would have ground into sausage.

Reminds me of an interesting book entitled
"Flattened Fauna" can't recall the author. Found it in the Cold Spring Harbor research institute bookstore.
It is basically a field guide to help you identify "flattened fauna". Useful anytime 3D lifeforms become 2D. Basically, you don't want to get out of your car and inspect the object closely, due to the danger of becoming an additional spot.

I know a guy who hit a Bison. He would not have been able to enter it in the contest though, since the Bison got up and ran away.

The guy COULD have entered his Ford F150 though, as it was totaled.

I liked the last entry, the one with 2 cats, a possum, and a raccoon. You need a weird sense of humor to fully appreciate that site. I added that site to my favorites.
