    Help! Finding Deals on Craigslist

i have seen people posting all sorts of things that they find on craigslist even though they dont live any where close to those items listed and have always wondered how do they know?

i have tried to find things, but cant look daily and when i do find something, its several days old and the item is gone, like usual.

how do you guys search for deals on craigslist? i read some where here that there is actually a website that monitors for you and sends you email or something, but the search is not yielding me any results, i thinks its getting too late for me, i am practically dead today!

well, thanks in advance for helping!

I do an advanced google search. For example, if I was looking for a ryobi tablesaw, I would do a search including all of the words "craigslist, ryobi, tablesaw" and then in the advanced options you can choose a time that the page or link was created, like past 24 hours, week, month whatever... It won't yield just craigslist listings, it will post some weird stuff...

    Man I love google

    Anyway, hope that helps

There are SEVERAL (just had this discussion on another forum), I didn't realize this many
      google
      http://crazedlist.org/
      http://search.restrainingbolt.com/
      http://www.craigshelper.com/
With Firefox, you can add the RSS feeds to your toolbar, It allows me to see postings that haven't made it yet. Then there is a plugin that will refresh the page EVERYTIME something new comes up (check4change).
With Window's, there was one someone recommended called Snarfer.

      Scam's and such
