    First Shop Time For 2008

I spent most of today in the shop, nothing to show for it but it felt good to be there. Temp got up to the mid 60s so I could do something without freezing, a 1500W electric heater doesn't do much in my 10 X 20 concrete bunker.

I put up a couple shelves and hacked together an extension on my workbench for my new Jet slow sharpener. Got the sharpener set up next step will be true up the wheel and give it a try.

I picked up 25 assorted acrylic blanks a couple weeks ago when Woodcraft had them on sale and am anxious to get started on some pens.

Yeah, it always feels good to get back in the shop after you can't for a while, doesn't it? Enjoy it while you can.

I solved that short warm season

I move from NY to N. Florida in 1993.
      I have never regretted it.
      Snow- what's that?

89F here this afternoon. Will cool off Tuesday back into the 60's but sure felt good. T-Shirt door and window in shop open LOML cleaning up and rearanging her Patio stuff. Dick you have been busy with other distracations the past month or so also. New LOML and new Dog so you have a reason not to be in the shop. Have fun making pens I also stocked up on blanks at Woodcraft. Will be taking Lathe with me to Idaho the 20th so I have something to do while watching the Grandkids for a week. Have to prepare all the blanks this next week as I won't have drill press or bandsaw to work with.

Yep, I know the feeing, Dick. Although I have been in the shop a bit today it was in the upper 60's and I was able to do a bit with the garage door open. Mmmmm mmmmm, that's the way to do it. Heck it was colder in the garage than it was outside so I set up a box fan to circulate the air. Let's see some pics of your new pens when you finish them, Dick.
          Blessings,
          Chiz
