Got my first of the year

A lousy skeeter has been flying around me for 1/2 hour, with a smile on his face. But I got him first. Does this mean no more snow?

A 'him' isn't cause for concern. The 'she' half are the bloodthirsty ones!

Yeah, I forgot about that. They say if you're awakened by a mosquito buzzing around your ear, just go back to sleep. It ain't gonna bite you.

After 66 degrees in the Twin Cities on Saturday, there was a prediction of "some" snow for Northern Minnesota on Sunday. Some parts ended up with 32" of wet, heavy stuff. Guess winter isn't over in Minnesota yet!!!!

Bad year for skeeters last year, I must have killed a dozen of them. Elsewhere in MN I could kill a dozen in a few minutes toward night fall. In Hopkins I had to use a screen door on the drive-in door in the garage/shop here I don't need it. I'm not sure what makes it different around here but I'm glad it is. I had more of an issue with flies in the shop last summer than mosquitoes.

I guess I shouldn't be tickled that my tomato plants just opened their first buds then.

Doesn't necessarily mean no more snow, just more itching.

I'm one of the lucky ones that never seem to get bit. LOML outside 30 minutes she has 10 bites, me zero. Even when I'm out there alone. So --- Nyah nyah nyah!

You might have killed the "scout skeeter". Now he can't report if it is full speed forward, harassment time begins.

Just the opposite at our house. She'll be right in the middle of them, and not get bit, or at least seldom. There's something they like about my blood.
