    Arrrgh!!!!!

    /rant on

    I finally did it, I ordered 9 Sheets of 3/4" and 1 sheet of 1/2" synergite from my local hardwood supplier, $323 and 2 days later it was delivered, and I made the mistake of smelling my newest delivery and that deliciously sweet smell most new materails leave in your shop. You know something different, something that going to be educational and hopefully fun.

    I can feel the rush, I can see my hands covered in that wonderful Kakhi powder, I can hear my circ. saw taking the pieces of my project out of the slabs so kindly delivered ( for only $7.50) so early this morning

    I can .....

    Wait,

    just got a phone call, turns out that the trip to Charleston this weekend that was postponed has just been put back on, and now instead of getting to make mountains and mountains of saw dust, play with a new impact driver, and getting to use mdf screws, I get to drag my sorry butt across 6.25 miles of sweaty asphault with 40,000 of my closest friends.

    Don't get me wrong Charleston and the Cooper River Bridge Run are a blast, but I have been waiting 2 years to build these book cases.

    measuring, planning, drawing, re-measuring, re-planning, and redrawing just to have mission control go hold on a moment.


    On the brighter side, my MIL's stereo tactic MRI guided biopsy came back clean and pristine. She is healthy and can watch the kids

    I even orderd 30' worth of USB cable so I could stash my high-end inkjet printer in one of the book-shelf bases and hide it nicely.

    Oh well, I guess I'll just have to order some more stuff for the book cases

      Awww, what's another week if you've been waiting two years? Spend the time with the wife and celebrate her good news... She probably doesn't wanna be a shop widow right about now, anyway...

          Well, you could just go out any buy bookcases. But then all the stuff you got would just be in the way. You could always put it out by the street. Somebody will probably pick it up for you.

              nope, SWMBO has reversed course, again. This weekend is back on and she SENT me to woodcraft last night where I got to spend some quality time with one of the sales-guys. He was quite helpful actually, and I made it out of there with only $99 worth of stuff. I escaped pretty lightly

                  That I in SWIMBO, could get you in BIG trouble (inconsistant, enter word of choice)!
                  She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
