    Highland Hardware... worth a visit?

I'm bringing my grandson up to Alanta on Wednesday to spend the day at the Atlanta Aquarium. Maybe come back sometime on Thursday.
Was wondering if Highland Hardware would be worth a side trip? I used to be in Atlanta twice a week but I didn't figure there would be Bobtail parking anywhere close so I never made the trip downtown.
Don't need anything really but I hate to pass up a Woodworking icon. Would be like going by one of the Grizzly stores and not stopping. Pat
Woodworking is therapy.....some of us need more therapy than others. <ZERO>

I spent a couple of hours at Highland Hardward last year. It's well-stocked and worth the trip. The whole neighborhood is a neat place to visit--Murphy's is an excellent restaurant, Taco Mac is a local institution, Moe's and Joe's is where I downed many a brewski while in college in Atlanta.

It's within walking distance of Little 5 Points, another colorful area, where I used to live.

And it's also close to the Clermont Lounge on Ponce de Leon, where I spent a few desultory hours ogling the women. It's an institution of a different kind. I wouldn't necessarily recommend you take your grandson there...
