No way to pick just one! I think the hard, driving songs show case the power in Reba's voice best.

Yeah, you're right about the voice. But, this one I wouldn't kick off the workbench.

Martina McBride is another one that I really like. Their voices are very strong and powerful and make you feel the music they are singing.

I have to say that both gal's shown have some real stuff and I enjoy both. I have say though that my all time favorite existed before even I was born.

There are much better recordings of course, but the range in this gal's voice was phenomenal.
Here is a nice little chop.

I really thick she started the quivering voice. Outstanding.
Not as much to look at as the previous couple, but surely qualified to be at any table in the world.

I'll see you and raise you.

Reba and Martina are gorgeous and have nice voices, but to REALLY sing country you have to live it. Here's my all-time favorite, Lucinda Williams, who's been around the block a few times:

Now, if you want talent and looks, here's Linda Ronstadt in her prime

          http://youtube.com/watch?v=SMTqCYUWYaQ

          and Alison Krauss

Any of these girls could knock the socks off most so-called country singers, i.e., the ones with the slick Nashville production who spend more on makeup and clothing than the budgets of some Third World countries.

For the most part I can't stand to listen to most modern country stations unless they promise "All the old hits, all the time"--Hank Williams, George Jones, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, etc. I'm with Lee about Patsy Cline: I melt when I hear her sing. Her voice goes straight to the heart.

Yeah, I'm with Lee too. She was the greatest. The others are also very good, but she was in a class by herself.
