    Bargain Alert????

    http://austin.craigslist.org/mat/616200832.html

Not if my math is right.

3' of 1x4 per bd ft. Lengths vary from 5'6" to 5'11". Giving the seller (loose term, I think) the benefit of the doubt, and rounding up/down in his favor, assume an average of 5'9". That would be 1.92 bd ft each x 103 pcs = 198 bd ft total. $4000 divided by 198 comes out to $20.20 a bd ft for used Teak!

That might be a bargain in California. Not so sure about Texas.

It's aged, in perfect condition, with no holes. That makes it well worth it's value.

Aged in this case sounds like weatherd in the sun! How do you build a deck without putting holes in the wood?

Yeah, I think new teak is about $25/bf at my local suppliers.
