    Not a bad "Off Season"...

My shop is unheated and uninsulated so I tend to pretty much close up from early December until spring warms the air a bit. I spend the off season as a "cyber woodworker" and bargain hunter. While thinking about getting the shop straightened up and ready for action, I was contemplating what kind of an off season I had.

    The list:
    - PC 343K 5" ROS (free)
    - Ridgid oscillating spindle/belt sander (HD gift cards ...aka "free")
    - Craftsman C3 flashlight (free)
    - Bosch 1587 variable speed jig saw ($55 shipped)
    - HF 13" drill press ($144)
    - a pair of 31" Jet parallel clamps ($72 shipped - BD money)
    - Freud FT1500 Inlay Set ($18 shipped)
    - Woodcraft butterfly inlay template ($24 - BD money)
    - plus there are a handful of new blades waiting for some attention - LU87, Oshlun 40T, Craftsman (by Freud) 32809 60T, DW7657 40T, 60T Infinity 010-060, some router bits, drill bits, pair of HF clamps, and who knows what else I'll run into out there and forgot about!

A productive off season in my book....and I'm definitely looking forward to getting out there!

Anyone else have an "off season" due to climate? What do you know in lieu of shop time?

Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

My "off season" is just starting... Was so hot in the shop yesterday that I had to have 3 hi-velo fans going to keep from dying in there...
