    Intel has announced the winners of the 2008 Intel Science Talent Search.

    I am amazed at what these kids have achieved in high school!!?!

    "...identifying stage II colon cancer patients at high risk for recurrence..."
    Whoa! At that age if somebody mentioned 'colon' to me I'd have only said 'eewww' !

    And even better, look at what more they do in their free time...

    The whole list, all the way down to #10, is inspiring, to put it mildly.

      When I was in high school I worked for a veterinarian. With his help, my science project was entitled, "Rapid Screening of Gram Negative Bacteria." I lost to a guy who's father built him a working model of a cyclotron or some such thing. And, I still hate the smell of Agar Agar.

          I always like to see stories about young people doing great things. It gives you hope for the future for those to follow us.
