I do know that "safety" and "life" is a huge concern in many circles, but the prevailing psychology of "give up" with no resistance - in order to protect of life runs against my grain. It also sends a message to criminal community that anything is there for the taking because no one will "fight" them.
Bear in mind that I am writing this about a situation in which no gun or knife was present. When the deck is stacked and with no "aces" up one's sleeve, it becomes a different story.
I applaud the lady. To me, "physical safety" and "life" is not the higher value, but freedom to live life is. She is a hero!Last edited by leehljp; 03-16-2008, 09:49 AM.Hank Lee

That is a great story. This is mine and you are not taking it!
I like the story that came out last year about the 70+ year old former Marine and iron worker that beat the crap out of and subdued a 20 something pick-pocketer. I can't think of a worse person to try to pick-pocket.Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - Thomas EdisonComment
