how do I view an AVI file?

    how do I view an AVI file?

    A friend gave me some videos in AVI format, but when I open them I can only hear them (no video is playing). What do I do?

      Assuming your using Windows, Windows Media Player should start and play the AVI file for you when you double click it. If not, start WMP and then just drag and drop the avi file on it.

      You may have to get it out of your e-mail first, usually you can do a save of the file and put it on the desktop where you can it.
