Yeah, I've got to agree Ali would destroy him street fight or in the ring. Too much of a disparity in size/power. A random big guy, not trained and hardened like Ali, against Lee would probably be another story.
You guys are assuming Mr. Clay connects. Bruce is too quick for that. Even if he did, a karate chop from Bruce to the juggler and it's over. Look how many top tier boxers get into the octogon and are carried out on stretchers after matches with the likes of the Gracies. Granted, they;re no CC but these are big powerful guys that, once there off there feet, there dead meat.
Don't forget Bruce could throw a pretty mean Chinese star and swing some furious nunchucs.
All kiddin aside, I still would put my money on Bruce.
I have seen this type of match in a studio in Dallas. Although the participants weren't the 'best' in their respective sports, both were well trained and in shape. If the boxer could have connected, he would have had a chance. After getting kicked to the floor the third time, with the same kick all 3 times, he asked if the $50 in his wallet was enough to get started! BTW, he came in looking for a fight.
Ali, or any other boxer, would not take down an expert in Karate. You can't hurt what you can't hit!

I think that was the case in the first few UFCs when few knew about BJJ. Where a tiny Royce Gracie absolutely destroyed guys twice his weight and size. Now I think anyone stepping in the octagon is much more well rounded (obviously some more than others), including fighters with a boxing background. Once strikers learned how to sprawl and learn escapes, it took much of the advantages ground fighters had. Check out how Matt Hughes absolutely dismantled Royce. Granted Matt is no boxer.
That means that velocity is much more significant than mass because it gets squared.
Bruce was really fast and I'd say that it might take a few hits from bruce to knock Ali out just because he could take a good one, he'd be getting them from all sides.
In this case, I don't think size matters except in how much a person can take, not give.
