A song from my teenage years. My Dad had a Nash and then bought a 56 ford Victoria with a 312 Cid engine and a 3spd trans and I became a terror. No radio, but did have seatbelts( 1st year) went like **** in a straight line but would not stop or turn to good. There was a guy here in Sacrameto that put a 283 Cid Chevy in a Rambler and it was fast but it wouldn't stop or turn to well either. It was all about cubic inches, handeling was for MG's and TR 3's

Back in the mid 60s my buddies and I were walking out of a local pizza joint when a guy went tearing by in a souped up woody. All of a sudden a Studebaker that was just pulling out of the lot lit up like a Christmas tree and laid rubber for about half a block. Turns out they dropped a Caddy drivetrain in the Studie and used it as an unmarked car!Bob

My parents had a Nash Rambler when I was little. The previous owner had painted it bright blue. I don't remember it as being particularly fast, it was just cheap to buy.David

Brings back memories.
Had a 56 Desoto Fire Flight Hemi, push button auto transmission. Terrible off the line but would do over 130 on straightaway. I saw a show on muscle car engines and that fire flight hemi raised over 900 HP on the dyno. This was compared to ford 427 Pontiac 400 Chevy 409 and it was ahead by over 100 Hp.PawPawComment

Memories-memories, oh yeah! Never had a Rambler, but did have a Nash Metropolitan (sp) left hand steering when I was in the UK; wish I had one now since I got about 30-35 mpg. Fun little car but a real dog as far as power and reliability went. Oh wellRuffSawn

Haven't even thought about it for a long time, but yeah, I do remember it.
