I will be traveling to Ephrata, PA 17522 the weekend of 3/28 - 3/30 and wondered if there is anything of interest to visit while there or if there are any BT3ers in the area that would be up for a visit?

While you are in Ephrata try to get some time and go over to the New Holland Sales Stable, Shame you can't stay till the monday horse sale. there is a great place just north of Blue Ball on 320 to get some soft pretzels.Try to get down thro Intercouse and get to paridise.
I used to live just south of Honey Brook, Wife would go to New Holland every monday you would never know what she would bring home.

There are outlets in Reading and Lancaster. There is a great chocolate factory (with a store) in Lititz (http://www.wilburbuds.com/docs/store.html). If you're into history and old fashoned stuff, there's the Landis Valley Farm Museum (http://www.landisvalleymuseum.org/) Central Market in Lancaster is pretty decent, I think (I was a kid when I was there) (http://server1.fandm.edu/departments...Site/FSet.html). If you like trains, go to the Strasburg railroad (http://www.strasburgrailroad.com/) and RR museum of PA (http://www.rrmuseumpa.org/). Adamstown has a couple big flea markets/antique markets (don't remember if Saturday or Sunday is the good day to go, http://www.renningers.com/) And, the biggie: Green Dragon (farmer's market, open friday(http://www.greendragonmarket.com/) Go and get some donuts or a sho fly pie or something else good.

I don't live near there anymore (haven't since I was a kid), but still have relatives in Berks and Lebanon counties, so I get through there from time to time.

There's an Amish farm tour in Lancaster which is pretty nice. It's right along one of the main arteries and easy to spot. Well worth the time. The Strasburg train museum is *not* model railroading. These are full-sized locomotives and cars housed in a conditioned-air building. You can walk through some and **under**one of the locomotives. Verrrrry fine display. Seasonally, they have a steam train ride but it's probably not functional right now. In Ephrata itself I believe there is "The Cloister" which is an old religous order, now extinct, but the buildings and the lifestyle are the draw. You have plenty to choose from in a close proximity.
