    Installation Instructions

I am in the process of installing a new printer/copier and ran across should become a classic.

Steps 1 through 12 deal with set up, connection, installing ink, loading paper, and aligning the print heads before connection to the computer.

    Step 13 is...

"Continue to the next step for instructions on connecting your HP All-in-One to your computer."

    Well, DUH!

      (a) Pick up the cable
      (b) Line up the cable pins to the sockets on the printer and/or computer
      (c) Click it in

Caution : if any stage of doing this you run into problems or have a doubt, please call our tech support...

Probably did that due to how many superstitious people there still are.

Yup, that explains it the best.

That would be my guess. Superstition. Don't do anything on step 13, just move along.
All of the high rise condo's at the beach do not have the 13th floor. Even the brand new ones.
I doubt they would be able to rent them very often anyway. One the elevator panel, there is usually just a blank button there with no number.

How would you feel if you weren't superstitious and there was a #13, and on that step, you screwed up?

I am not superstitious and I think it is idiotic. There are addresses MISSING from my street, due to the 13. When I bought my house, they asked if (xxx-13xx) was ok for my phone number, because it had a 13 in it. I like to think of it, similarly to the way I see RAP "music". People who failed at (math/music) in school.
