Need to get rid of an old tape measure?

Me and the wife picked up one of those $450 VitaMix blenders over the weekend. Don't ask. People that have them swear by them. Story for another day.

That aside, I've been searching the net to determine if this thing is worth keeping when I stumbled upon their primary competition, Blendtec - another $400 blender producing company. You may have seen their promotional videos "Will It Blend" where they feed everything from hockey pucks to marbles to garden rakes into their blender to show off it's power.

Here's the one on Tape Measure's

Here's the link to the pages of their other videos.

    Enjoy,
    Greg

I just threw one in the garbage last week. I guess I saved $400.00.

He forgot the height of the lid while measuring... Measure twice, blend tape once!

        Greg,

I actually picked up one of the VitaMix blenders at a home show about 5 years back, felt so stupid afterwards...

Then we had a BBQ, and I made a batch of Margarita's.

All of my neighbors STILL rave about that blender, it is amazing. We use it for EVERYTHING. From ice cream to hot soup to any frozen beverage you could imagine.

I vote that you keep it. When you go to Starbucks, DD's, TCBY, JambaJuice, or any of those places they have a VitaMix, I have never seen the competition anywhere other than willitblend.

I've gotta say that we've had pretty good luck with some of the TV product on infomercials. As for blenders, we fell for the Magic Bullet, and it does exactly as advertised. It's fast and great. We use it all the time. I doubt I'd be throwin' in a tape measure.
