For those of you up north getting blasted, just thought you might want to know, Robins by the thousands in Florida panhandle. Migration on the way and Spring can't be too far behind.

Boy, I sure hope so. This has been a really cold winter and I can't wait for it to end. It's supposed to hit zero again tonight. It's around 10 right now. At least the lunar eclipse was fun to watch for a few moments before my face started to freeze.
Robins came up here a week and a half ago, they stripped all the red berries off a big bush we have. I think the berries had fermented, we had a bunch of FUI* robins.

We're finally suppose to get to "normal" over the weekend, about 30 degrees high. It's sure been a cold February. Can't wait for Spring!!! Can't come to soon for me, but we still have another 6-8 weeks of this stuff.

Yeah, -4 again this morning. Looks like we'll be back in the 30's again over the weekend and into next week. Although, the extended forecast shows snow next Tuesday...
Spare a thought for us downunder - Summer is about to end
Based on all I've seen and heard, you guys sure are due for some good weather.
And a long winter it can be. We have a crew in New Zealand that's our summer Antarctica team that are just winding up the summer season and heading home. I've had a flock of Canadian geese take up resience across from my house just waiting on the north to thaw out a bit more.
Even though it was minus 12 this morning, with 2 feet of snow on my yard and some plowbanks taller than me, I have found yet another reason not to move back down south:
I like the final comment: if you find a Burmese python, don't engage it--call authorities. I wouldn't have any problem following that advice.

There is no way that snake could handle a gator bigger than 18"!
I'd wrestle a 6' gator to live here where the coldest we got was 34 degrees for a few hours and stay out of -12 degree weather. That's just un-natural!
