    The "Happy Study"

They had a story on the news, about a study that was done concerning happiness and age. They said as people age, they become less happy as they get older. This happens until we reach the age of 44, which is when people are most unhappy. After that, there is a very strong trend to become happy again. If I remember correctly, the high point for happiness was 70, which was the oldest age listed.

I don't know about you, but overall, we're more happy in our senior years. But we sure miss having the kids when they were little.

I have to agree. I am more content now than years ago. I am not as stressed and enjoy even the small and simple things more. Being retired I am able to do pretty much what I want. I tell LOML once we pay the bills and stock on groceries for the month the rest of the time is ours do as we please. I am busy with many things and don't do all the woodworking I thought I would, but it is my choice. I pretty much have my health and family, have a good retirement income have all the material things I need and in most cases want,(execpt for woodworking tools) so for me life is good. I leave Monday for a week helping with my 3 grandkids in Idaho while their Mother goes for training in Denver and that is the most important thing we do. This trip is solo as LOML cant' take the cold because of COPD so I don't have to share them execpt with thier Father and he goes to work at 3 in the afternoon.

Yeah I agree too. But I do miss the stamina of being 30!

I'm almost always happy (until some nosy so-and-so wants my opinion for some ridiculous survey)...

I guess I absolutely agree about being happy..well after 44 that is. And TB Royce hit it on the head; I can ditto all of that. I have always said that I can't understand how I ever had time to work for someone else!
