    Transmission shop in Chicago area?

My 1991 Toyota truck's tranny has started to make some ominous grumbling sounds (I think it's the output bearing), so I'm in search of an honest transmission shop (is that an oxymoron?) in the Chicago/NW Indiana area. Anyone here have any recommendations, either positive or negative?

Failing that, has anyone here replaced a transmission in one of these trucks? I could probably buy a rebuilt unit and install it myself, but I'd like to be aware of any "gotchas" before I undertake that task.

I have used one in Bolingbrook, twice. !996 Chevy Lumina and 1999 Hoda Accord EX. They did great work and stood behind there warranty (1 year).
I am in shape. Round is a shape!

I used Atomic in Villa Park about 12 years ago. Back then I had no problems with them and a decent price.

You may consider buying a re-built from a parts store and having your mechanic install it.
Sometimes the old man passed out and left the am radio on so I got to hear the oldie songs and current event kind of things
