    Return a Christmas Tree . . . .

    . . . . after Christmas!

We bought one of those pre-lit Christmas trees in early December and when we put it up, it took about 20 minutes for one of the strings of lights to quit working. Since then, about half of the lights quit -- some in each of three sections of the tree.

I tried working with the manufacturer, but they kept saying they would get back to me -- I am still waiting,

I decided to take it back to Lowe's. When I approached the service desk and told them I wanted to return the Christmas tree they looked at me like I had been inhaling too much MDF dust (sorry Rod).

Then I showed them the pictures . . . Money returned, no further questions.

Of course the tree was made in China. Kudos to Lowe's.

    Regards, SN

Glad you got some satisfaction thru Lowes. I had to laugh at the thought of the scenario at the service desk.
Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

Last fall I was returning something to Lowe's and the guy in front of me was returning a lawn mower that looked worse than my 10 year old mower - and they took it. I was very surprised.

I have saw that at Lowes and Sears. I would be so embarrassed to try to return a piece of equipment that I had used and abused.

I am glad that they took that back for you. Nothing like a tree that doesn't work. And you also had pictures proving the problem also.

After working at a "return" counter in a Northwest chain of stores, I know some of the things people would bring back. And the other thing that amazed me was that the managers of said stores actually take them back. And either give them a refund or store exchange for a new maybe better model.
