    Woodworking Good Samaritans

A truly "feel good" story from the holiday season:

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...d=sec-religion

It's nice to know some of our fellow craftsmen are willing to help out their neighbors. Now as for the guys who filched the originals, well, let's just say they may have a lot of explaining to do when they show up at the pearly gates.

I also noticed that the company donated the materials. Great spirit from them and their employees!

Had a similar "feel good" story happen to me this year

I had my own "feel good" story happen to me and my family this year. It was covered by the newspaper http://www.kentucky.com/211/story/268123.html and all three of the local television stations.

I put up a pretty large Christmas display in the front yard. The backdrop alone is about 10' x 14'. I made it about 14 years ago and have never had a bit of trouble with it. When my family and I left for church, Sunday morning, we noticed that the entire thing had blown over with the high winds and heavy rains we had.

As we came home from church we saw that EVERYTHING had be put back up. Whoever did it had gone down to a construction site, down the street, gotten some thrown away lumber and re-staked down everything after they put it back up!

I still don't know who put everything back up for me... but I know it took them quite a bit of time and effort because the entire display was a MESS when we left for church!

There really are some good people left in the world!
Happy to have all 9 1/2 fingers!
