$100 a barrel for oil. Good grief...

Oil is $100 a barrel. That's insane. For comparison sake, I think it was under $40 a barrel in 2004. We really need to figure out this energy issue...

Good thing coffee is not made from oil!

I think I'm going to stop reading the news now. How depressing!

yeah but its been flirting with $100/barrel for months.

I actually want it to keep going up. It's the only way that alternates are going to get the pushes they need to go mainstream.

        A 12 ounce of Starbucks is about $1.50. You get about 10 to a gallon...times 42 gallons in a barrel (I think) gives $630

What do you expect when you put a Texas oil man in the white house?

Gasoline was .99 cents a gallon in 1999.

Yup. I'm pretty sure it's the President that's causing this increase.

Only a few months ago there were those who demanded that Congress look into the gas price increases.

Nobody pays attention to printer ink, though. We are all paying an average of US$8,000 a gallon for printer ink!

Hewlett-Packard makes approximately a third of its profit from toner and ink. Over $4 billion in the last 3 years and nobody is calling for an investigation.

BTW, I bought HP stock when I read an article about this travesty. Turned out to be a good investment.

And milk is still more expensive than gas. Maybe he is really a dairyman???

If it keep going the way it's going, don't be surprised when incentives on hybrids and other fuel efficient cars go away. That whole supply and demand thing.

                          I can see it now.......

Honda Civic Hybrid Price $25000 Incentive $0 (heck maybe even premiums)
                          Dodge Ram 4x4 Price $35000 Incentive $15000

before long you'll be able to buy a big truck and pay for 5 yearsof gas for the same price as the hybrids (I'm exagerating I hope)
