    Gmail - Increasing Font Size

Anybody know if there is a setting in Gmail to increase the default font size that messages are displayed in. I am checking and don;t see it. Were I to install something like Thunderbird, would it have such a setting?

If you are reading an e-mail, and you're running XP (not sure about others), hold down ctrl while rotating the scroll wheel on the mouse to increase or decrease the size.

If you're composing an e-mail, there is an option on the toolbar.

PS: I guess that's not really the default.

Asking cause I switched my in-laws over to gmail over the holiday. My FIL would like to print emails in a larger font size. Best I could come up with right now is to copy into notepad, bump the size up and print. I thought if you could increase the default font size in gmail it would also print that way.

Change the font size in Windows Explorer: View, Text Size, pick one. It seems to remember the font size form web site to web site. Not sure of the limitations only have used it a couple of times.

Can you just change the browser font size default to be larger? That would probably be the easiest way.

gmail is browser-based, so has to depend on the browser settings.

but also, those settings are only for viewing, and my experience has been it always prints regular font sizes... havta try again
