Anybody know if there is a setting in Gmail to increase the default font size that messages are displayed in. I am checking and don;t see it. Were I to install something like Thunderbird, would it have such a setting?

If you are reading an e-mail, and you're running XP (not sure about others), hold down ctrl while rotating the scroll wheel on the mouse to increase or decrease the size.
If you're composing an e-mail, there is an option on the toolbar.

Asking cause I switched my in-laws over to gmail over the holiday. My FIL would like to print emails in a larger font size. Best I could come up with right now is to copy into notepad, bump the size up and print. I thought if you could increase the default font size in gmail it would also print that way.David

Change the font size in Windows Explorer: View, Text Size, pick one. It seems to remember the font size form web site to web site. Not sure of the limitations only have used it a couple of times.Ric

Can you just change the browser font size default to be larger? That would probably be the easiest way.Asking cause I switched my in-laws over to gmail over the holiday. gmail is browser-based, so has to depend on the browser settings.
but also, those settings are only for viewing, and my experience has been it always prints regular font sizes... havta try againIt is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
